Double jump - In computer and video games, double jump refers to two distinct phenomenon: a game mechanic intended by the designers of the game in which a player can jump, and then in mid-air jump again; and a game mechanic unintended by the original designers in which a player can gain extra height by jumping up and landing on higher ground and then jumping again with precise timing.
Ramp jump - Ramp jumping or trimping is a technique used in some first-person shooter games (for example Quakeworld) in order to jump higher then would normally be possible.
Dropkick - A dropkick is an attacking maneuver in professional wrestling. It is defined as an attack where the wrestler jumps up and kicks the opponent with the soles of both feet, this sees the wrestler twist as they jump so that when the feet connect with the victim one foot is raised higher that the other (depending on which way they twist) and the attacker falls back to the mat on their side, or front.
Training effect - The training effect is a physical phenomenon known to athletes. When a person exercises at a certain level for a certain duration over a certain number of weeks, their body will elevate its metabolism to a higher level - it will continue at this level as long as a certain amount of exercise is performed each couple of days (but see footnote).
