Mixed case - Mixed case is the standard usage of upper-case and lower-case letters. Languages written in the Latin alphabet, the Cyrillic alphabet, and some others use upper-case letters to help the eye detect important words, such as proper nouns, or the first word in a sentence.
Letter case - In orthography and typography, letter case (or just case) is the distinction between majuscule (capital or upper-case) and minuscule (lower-case) letters. Most Occidental languages (certainly those based on the Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Armenian alphabets) use multiple letter cases in their written form as an aid to clarity.
Capital letters - Capital letters or majuscules (in the Roman alphabet: A, B, C, ...) are one type of case in a writing system.
KOI8-U - KOI8-U is an 8-bit character encoding, designed to cover Ukrainian, which uses the Cyrillic alphabet. It is based on KOI8-R, which covers Russian and Bulgarian, but replaces eight graphic characters with four Ukrainian letters Ґ, Є, І, and Ї in both upper case and lower case.
